“We’ve never considered writing a testimonial for anyone until we located Dr. Angela Bross with Joy-Chi Veterinary Acupuncture. She is one of the best veterinarians we’ve ever met!. We have nothing but positive comments and high recommendations for her. Any animal under her care is truly fortunate!
Our cat, Miss Daisy, was diagnosed with an arthritic vertebra in her back that was causing her to flinch and bite whenever she was petted. She was prescribed treatment of steroids that she would have to take for the rest of her life. We sought a second opinion and discovered Dr. Bross. From the first time we met we knew she was special; her positive approach to Miss Daisy and her aura were that impressive. Gently and caringly, she examined Miss Daisy and reviewed her history. Her diagnosis was spot on, and Miss Daisy made a full recovery.
We’ve followed Dr. Bross during the last few years and have kept her for Miss Daisy’s doctor along with our other 2 cats (Sammy and Birdie). All 3 adore Dr. Bross, their Cat Whisperer. More recently, Miss Daisy had a urinary problem and was diagnosed with a bladder stone. Dr. Bross’ integrative approach of both eastern and western veterinary medicine successfully treated Miss Daisy’s bladder stones without surgery. An x-ray and ultrasound confirmed that the stone was completely dissolved after just 36 days! We feel confident that the maintenance protocol Dr. Bross has given us will ensure that she doesn’t develop any more stones.
We also want to say that Dr. Bross is always available to us. During Daisy’s treatments she answered our questions, provided information and valuable support. We have never met a more caring person. We are forever thankful, appreciative and grateful to Dr. Bross for her knowledge of alternative techniques (i.e., acupuncture, Chinese herbs), her calmness and her caring attitude. Our 3 kitties, especially Miss Daisy, are lucky to have Dr. Angela Bross for their veterinary doctor; we’re very lucky too. She’s beyond a special person!!!”

“Dr. Bross has helped two of my pets with acupuncture and herbs. Willow is a 7 year old Austrian Terrier Mix that had a lower urinary tract infection for over six months. She was treated with western medicine, but did not improve as desired. I sought help from Dr. Bross, who treated Willow with acupuncture and herbs. She improved dramatically, and we will continue her treatments on a regular basis. Dr. Bross also treated my three year old cat, Tabitha, who was howling in pain when she played with our new kitten. Acupuncture and Chinese herbs from Dr. Bross also treated her successfully. When Tabitha was diagnosed with gum disease, we were told by another vet that she should have all of her teeth removed. Again, Dr. Bross saved the day. With continued treatment, Tabitha will be able to keep her teeth and remain pain-free. Thank you, Dr. Bross!”

“I rescue Great Danes. They have not had very good lives in their previous situations and are in need of a multi-faceted approach to their care. This is where Dr Bross has come in. Through her I have learned about and adopted acupuncture, cold laser, food therapy, tui-na, and traditional Chinese herbs for my dogs. All have played an integral place in their treatment. The incredible bonus would be that there are no side effects from these types of treatments and it is possible to bring a dog back to its best self in a reasonable time frame. Dr Bross is incredibly patient and has a brilliant rapport with both animal and owner. She is an active listener and gathers information in order to develop the most effective treatment plan. My Danes have become good friends with their acu vet, Dr Bross, greeting her with wagging tails and gentle nudges. I like and respect Dr Bross and do heartily recommend her approach to veterinary care.”

“Dr. Angela Bross has improved our dog Steve’s life, and I highly recommend her. Our 14 year old Labradoodle had always been an incredibly athletic dog, but was diagnosed with spinal arthritis and degenerative disc disease. Life was extremely painful for Steve as he could barely walk or lay down, low spirits and hung his head down most of the time and almost stopped eating. Then an amazing thing happened! Dr. Bross entered our lives. She evaluated Steve, got him on a nutritious dog food, prescribed Chinese herbal formulas, introduced crock pot cooking to include nutritious meats, brown rice, sweet potatoes and kale (which he loves) and began Tui-na massage. This was a life changer for Steve. It did take a little time, but gradually we noticed his mobility improve, his legs got stronger and more stable and when he picked up his BALL (which is the universe to him) we could not believe our eyes. He had not done that in a very, very long time – he was feeling good.
This is an evolving process and was a beautiful thing to watch as he improved during time. Our happy trotting, yes trotting, dog has returned and we are so grateful. He loves his treatments and cannot wait to get to “his room” and see Dr. Bross. With her calming environment and care Steve feels good, is happy and smiling again. I look forward to a continuing relationship with Dr. Angela Bross.”

Recently my wife had to put down both her beloved old Corgi, then two months later, her constant kitty companion of ten years. Dr. Angela came to our house very quickly after both calls were made, and helped our fur kids “over the bridge” in the serenity and peace of our home. What could have been traumatic experiences, were instead exactly the opposite, which I know helped my wife recover from her grief more easily, knowing her “babies” never knew fear at the ends of their time with us. For this, I am deeply grateful to Dr. Angela.

My aging lab mix was beginning to show stiffness and discomfort in the mornings, as well as an increase in a long-standing neck arthritis that limited his range of motion and made him reluctant to go on our morning walks. From previous experiences with Western veterinary treatments of this condition, Buddy would have been prescribed pharmaceuticals that would have required expensive semi-annual blood tests and would have just relieved his symptoms, for a time. But Dr. Angela, being more interested in treating the cause of his neck problem, showed me how to do “tui-na,” a series of massages that were easy to do, as well as prescribing gentle Chinese herbal preparations that specifically addressed both Buddy’s stiffness as well as his pain. Now, 5 months after we began following Dr. Angela’s recommendations, Buddy acts like a young dog again, eager for his morning walks and chasing his favorite ball again.
